They won both games on Saturday against Danville Mustangs and Elk Grove. Sunday morning's game was against the home team Petaluma United.  Sonoma United won 3-1 and moved on to the evenings Final.

Their opponents were from Windsor. The Windsor team dominated the first 15 minutes and got a great long- range goal. Coach Rudy Bryson made adjustments and from then on Sonoma took over and controlled the game with beautiful passing and great defense. The Sonoma United had many good shots at the goal but were never able to put it in the net. The Windsor goalkeeper had a very good game and stopped many shots that would normally have gone in. Windsor won 1-0. Both teams played with good sportsmanship and it was worthy of a Championship game.
