The U10 boys D3 team ,The Cobras, had another great weekend. Saturday morning they held a strong Santa Rosa Central Fire team scoreless, and won 2-0. Outstanding play on all sides of the field as well as a balanced team effort helped the Cobras defeat this strong district rival. On Sunday morning the team caravanned to Tiburon to take on the Tiburon Bulls. The Cobras continued their relentless attack on offense and defense and shut down the Bulls 6-0. The Cobras have a 8-1 record in district 5 play. The only loss came at home to the Santa Rosa Storm in a battle for first place. The Cobras lost 2-1 after a great match-up and competitive game. The Storm and Cobras met in an earlier match-up in Santa Rosa that was a 2-1 Cobra "unofficial" victory. Coach Rick and Jaime are real proud of the boys and how well they are gelling as a TEAM. Next up for the Cobras are three regular season road games and then a D3 Copa Del Rey tournament on Dec. 6-7. |
