IN MEMORIAM
Joseph Allan Flajnik 1951-2006

Sonoma Valley youth soccer lost one of its founders and staunchest supporters unexpectedly in October 2006. Coach Flajnik represented all that is good about the game of soccer. He coached many of our children and refereed countless games, all displaying his character, quiet grace and love for the game of soccer.
In 1997, while president of the Sonoma Valley Youth Soccer Association, Joe Flajnik came up with the idea for the first Halloween Invitational Tournament. He singlehandedly organized every aspect of that first tournament, assuring Sonoma Valley of hosting this fabulous tournament for years to come.
Joe could always bring people and issues together with his smile and soft-spoken, caring tone. His heart was the size of his fame, and it was his heart and his sincerity that inspired people to put their trust in him. When you met him, you knew you were blessed.
Joe Flajnik was the love of the game!
