Coaches Information
for the 2009/10 Season

SVYSA understands that in order to produce well rounded athletes, it must provide knowledgeable, skilled coaching.

All of our coaches are required to be licensed per the CYSA guidlelines and, begining in 2008, will be required to have passed a referee license class, and encouraged to attend a
Positive Coaching Alliance presentation.

If you're interested in becoming a coach or attending one of the many courses offered through the league, please
contact us.

Every coach and assistant coach must fill out an Adult Staff Disclosure form.  Please click here to download the 1628 form.

A quick note to all of those interested in coaching a team with SVYSA in the coming year.  In keeping with our Risk Management Policy, the SVYSA arranges and pays for a mandatory fingerprinting and background check for all new coaches.  Children's safety is a top priority for the SVYSA and we feel these procedures help maintain the integrity and security of our League, our coaches and, most importantly, our children.  If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me by email.
